The Role
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and cost control. This role involves managing teams and external stakeholders, improving processes, and ensuring that business objectives are met within set timelines and budgets.
You’ll need to be comfortable operating at a strategic level while also rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in when needed. This role requires managing a fully remote team across multiple time zones, as well as collaborating with stakeholders in a multi-national environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate daily business operations to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to improve operational effectiveness
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports for senior management
- Oversee logistics, inventory control, tracking, and freight cost management
- Collaborate with external 3PLs and global stakeholders to optimize supply chain operations
- Manage customer service operations, ensuring a seamless experience for all customers
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and manage a fully remote team, ensuring effective collaboration and productivity across global time zones
- Ensure team adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to drive employee engagement
Process Improvement & Strategy
- Analyze existing processes and identify areas for optimization
- Implement cost-effective and time-efficient solutions to streamline operations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align operations with company goals
Budgeting & Financial Oversight
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor operational costs
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
Customer & Vendor Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners
- Assist with contract negotiations to secure the best terms for the company
- Address customer concerns to ensure high levels of satisfaction
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all operations comply with legal, safety, and quality standards
- Develop risk management strategies to minimize business disruptions
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication skills — verbal, written, and cross-cultural — are essential
- Ability to balance high-level strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in operations software and business management tools
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in global warehousing, logistics and supply chain management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (desired but not required)
